Origin of the Name

It was in 1997. I made friends with a mail artist/research scientist named Ficus (not really, but that's another story) a few years before. When I got my new computer I wanted to try out the fax program. The only person I could think of right off who had a fax machine was Ficus. I called his office and got the fax number. I fired up the fax program and prepared the message. The cover sheet was created using a form. The form asked for my name. Okay, simple enough. Then it asked for a company name. I plucked Catch 23 out of the air. I ended up using that name for several years afterward. When I went to register the domain name, all the permutations allowed at the time were in use by someone else, but again that's another story for another place or time. The next item the form asked for was, "Title."

Hmm.

Out of nowhere, I thought, "Primary Wizard." I typed it in. Send.

After than, any correspondence Ficus sent to me was addressed to Primary Wizard. It became a name instead of a title. I changed my AOL/AIM handle to PrimaryWizard. Then came MSN, Yahoo, Tripod, and any number of other online sites. Eventually I registered the domain primarywizard.net and here we are.
